*“What an impressive epic love story! It has all the elements necessary to make a good film. “REBIRTH” has romance, betrayal, murder, war, noble men standing for a noble cause. These elements are what sell this script: the massive nature of this story and the complexity of the events. -- StoryPros

*“Captivating story from the lead-in right through the rewarding climax . Solid entertainment value. REBIRTH has easily advanced to the next level.” - Larry Myles, Red Inkworks

*“This sweeping epic is instructive for all time. A classic. I highly recommend REBIRTH to anyone looking for a certain, international hit.” - Steven P. Mark, Entertainment Attorney, NYC

Review from three Greenlight judges:

*"The writing is superb. The characters, locations and story are exciting, rich, and would dazzle any cinema going audience."

* "The writer has captured the essence of a tumultuous time in world history and delivered it to the page like a newborn, naked, screaming, and with tenderness."

*"It has what we call the holy trinity... Sex, Violence and a well crafted story. BRAVO!!!! RECOMMEND!!!" http://the-greenlight.hostei.com/tllewis.html.

* "Rebirth" is an iconic classic in the making. The story is engaging from page one, and doesn’t miss a beat thereafter. Rebirth catapults its audience on a captivating journey wrought with peril and intrigue. Danger, romance, passion, and betrayal are used to weave the story into a historical tapestry of epic proportions.

* "Rebirth is a lucid and lively work that will engage both lovers of romance, while appeasing those who are more engaged by sequences of action. It manages to make the period come alive, and whets the appetite for more...

"Rebirth is a wonderfully written, historically accurate, and vividly imaginative script. The audience is whisked away to an atmosphere pulsing with energy. The characters are rich with insight and dripping with humanity."

* "The sequence of dramatic scenes, all highly kinetic, visual, and expertly crafted... Throughout this historical masterpiece many familiar names surface... These deeply rich, well-developed characters, drive the story forward, toward its captivating climax, all while helping to create a compelling and redeeming quality, which is sometimes lacking in scripts of this ilk. This larger-than-life tale is not to be ignored." RECOMMEND." ScriptVamp.

*“REBIRTH spans the bridge from European classics to Hollywood high concept, and then reaches out and touches the heart of the American Heartland.” - Mark Hastings, Screenwriter/Judge

"* "The story is very well written with epic proportions, in a message that spans the generations ... an extraordinary work." -Barb Doyon. Extreme Screenwriting gives “REBIRTH” a RECOMMEND

SHORT SYNOPSIS

In a world torn between renaissance and genocide, "Rebirth" reveals a provocative true story of a notorious true story, almost forgotten, when faith, law and king are one, when speaking your mind can literally lead to the loss of your head.

A provocative mix of sex, love, politics, war and religion, that excites with its larger-than-life characters, in an emotional roller coaster of passion and intrigue, with many contemporary echoes of religious terrorism and the reason for our separation of church and state. Based on a true story of the abuse of power versus the true power of love and honor.

"Rebirth" is based on the actual events that led to the French Civil Wars and the fight for civil liberty that laid the foundation for both American and French Revolutions.

"Rebirth" unfolds in a world torn between renaissance and genocide viewed through the eyes of a womanizing artist who finds love that changes his life to risk it all in a fight that alters the fates of nations.

I also feel that the potential for getting "REBIRTH" read by many notable ‘A-List’ actors and Directors is significant since it involves their own ancestry.

Reviews

"Rebirth spans the bridge from European classics to Hollywood high concept, and then reaches out and touches the heart of the American Heartland." -Mark Hastings, screenwriter, judge, Project Greenlight, NYC

"Captivating story from the lead-in right through to the rewarding climax. Solid entertainment value." -Larry Myles, Red Inkworks, Toronto

"Rebirth has it all, from the love and romance, to the martyrs and heroes staking their lives on the quest for peace and justice... I LOVED IT!" -Sasha Lauren, Epiphany Scripts, Los Angeles

"A classic. I recommend Rebirth to anyone seeking a, certain, international hit." -Steven P. Mark, Entertainment Attorney, NYC

"Rebirth is the best written script that's come across my desk in weeks. Your action scenes are particularly good." -G. Hoffman, BlueCat, Los Angeles

"The rich symbolism in Rebirth, is what makes it a story to be re-read or a film that will be seen again and again." -Rose DuSeigneur, French history scholar

"Lessons in wisdom and honor... A timeless and timely statement against intolerance makes Rebirth relevant to the civil liberty struggles in today's world." -Judge, Brass Brad, L.A.

"The two leads/love interests involving political intrigue a la Elizabeth, Braveheart, Marie Antoinette, the Tudors, etc. The religious persecution, lust/conquest transforming to love, taking a stand and fighting for one's beliefs are timely and timeless. The film should make for an engrossing experience." -Film History Professor, USC

"What an impressive epic love story! It has all the elements necessary to make a good film. It has romance, betrayal, murder, war, noble men standing for a noble cause. These elements are what sell this script: the massive nature of this story and the complexity of the events." -Jeff Swanson, Story Pros, http://www.storypros.com

“Rebirth is a historical epic of the Huguenot repression in late 16th-century France. It is very well written, fast-paced, and full of action, blood and passion. The story is well-researched, and the script moves along quickly and maintains a good balance of intrigue, fighting, and romance. There are many characters to keep track of and many threads to keep together, and the writer does both well. In many historical dramas, the history gets in the way of and even trips up the drama. Not here. The script could use one more edit and proofread (as could all of ours, no doubt), though mistakes are few. This is a very good script. Four Stars.” -Davvy
